Since the pandemic era due to Covid-19, WhatsApp has become an application that is widely used for online learning. In new normal era, was still most by lecturers and students because sending teaching materials easy fast. This study investigated students’ perceptions challenges of utilizing in English language learning amid era. The method a qualitative method. researcher purposive sampling technique selecting participants. participants this amounted 12 EFL 2nd semester STAIN Teungku Dirundeng Meulaboh. A semi-structured interview as data collection techniques. were analyzed using Miles Huberman flow model. results showed social media learn improve their skills. application, considered fun, comfortable, helpful, use. not only effective time-saving, it also motivates English. addition, uses less internet quota than other applications.
